Overview

TabWrap™: a revolution in coated tablet processing

TabWrap™ is a patented high-speed continuous dry process for wrapping compressed tablets in a soluble polymer film. It is applicable to a range of product applications, including prescription and OTC pharmaceuticals, but is particularly suited to tablet cores that are sensitive to and react with moisture and friable tablet cores.

The technology has been extended to create an enteric dry coating system called EntWrap™, a quick disintegration coated tablet called FastWrap™ and a coated sustained release tablet called XLWrap™

Features of TapWrap™:

• Simple dry process without the need for solvents
• Specific, known and controlled thickness of film coat 
• Different film coating properties available (instant and enteric release)
• Multiple colours with high gloss finish
• Drying is not required post-manufacture
• Film coatings are non-animal derived, vegetable based and GMO free.
• Tablets are handled individually, facilitating coding on the tablet - an aid to prevent counterfeit medicines
• Highly suited to coat moisture sensitive tablet cores such as those incorporating super-disintegrants
• Especially applicable to coat difficult friable tablets
